It grows in tiny clusters like a grape; but this tiny berry has much more to offer in terms of nutrition than any grape ever could. While it is a part of a family of respected fruits, such as the blueberry and cranberry, the acai berry is certainly in a class all its own. It used to be that only those who were native to the Central and South American regions where the fruit grows plentifully were able to enjoy the benefits of the acai berry.

It hails from the depths of the Amazon rainforest and is a fruit indigenous to Central and South America only. The acai berry grows in tiny clusters which remind you of the red grape when you look at them. But this berry, with its deep purplish hue, is better than the grape even. In fact, the acai berry is so good for the body that it is first in a class of known super-fruits most have heard talked about.
